Pull-through braids to Piggies

I was so excited about Alex's look today, so I decided to go ahead and post this one tonight;) Besides, I got behind after last week, so I have lots more posts! I guess you all can just read the ones that look interesting and ignore the rest;)I've been making clips like a mad woman lately. I just bought 120 clips last week and am down to 25 now! Anyway, here are some of the new ones.
I took these first thing in the morning, so we had perfect lighting. Alex looked so pretty;)
Oh, and she does have a little bit of sparkly powder on her face;)
Anyway, this first pic looked so cute and then I got it on the computer, full screen. I'm embarassed to say that her fingernails are so dirty! Lol, I guess princesses do get dirty sometimes too...
The next two show the hairdo a little better. I just did pull-throughs starting at the bottom and adding the remaining hair to the next one. This is a great style for short hair.
And it gives the same adorable piggies I used to get with her long hair;)

Going back in time... pics of the Streamer Bows

The first three pictures here are of a custom headband I made last year for a Mom wanting to do B&W portraits. I came across these while looking for the others and remembered how much I liked them;) Anyway, I think I might make another to list in my shop...
Usually my hubby thinks that Alex is "over the top" when she models my items, but this one he just loved! He said it had a rather "film noire" feel. Lol, it was pretty cute;)

These next pics are from Alex's 2nd bday. I painted her shirt with a cute little cupcake and then made some streamer bows to match.
Save the little bump she got on her lip, she looked so perfect;)
She also wore this set to the Zoo and got so many compliments! I sold two shirts and 6 sets of bows just from that day;)
Well, hope that helps with what the Halloween streamers will look like. These are a perfect bow for pigtails. They also look super cute on the side of a bun or underneath pigtail buns. Lots of fun;)

I just remembered that a few post back, she was wearing some other streamer clips. Just click the link to see them...

twisted ropes, into a french braid

Before I start hair blogging remember to enter here for free bows because of my 100th sale!
I know that no Idea is totally original, but I think I came up with this today! this is a second day hair do, yesterday Baby Mermaid had this hair
So I took her hair out combed it and put it in three ropes along the front, these are going to start your french braid.
Then I did three ropes along each side (parted down the middle)

Then starting with the front three ropes I started my french braid and instead of pulling sections from each side I just added a rope!

Then I took out all of the extra elastics, made a fan tail by hooking the braid into a tiny loop and flat ironed her hair to give it a little fluff

added a bow,

and sent her off to school, she wanted to show you all her wild thing that she made in school yesterday his name is batmonkey, And we love him (she made me say that)

2nd day hair (crimps and braids)

Little mermaid had her hair up in pigtails with diamonds yesterday and so today she wanted crimps and braids. this is what we did.As I took her hair out of elastics, I crimped each section
Crimped up but not ready to go

I braided her hair and hooked the braids behind her head, in the middle of her hair so you cant see the elastic or the ends of the braids

Here is the front with the braids "disappearing" into her mane of hair

The back

and ready for school. (as you can tell I think ties are my girls favorite accessory for the year)

The Party's Over! ;)

Lol, okay, so I have to admit that I am relieved to be finished with Alex's bday party;) I don't have any super-fancy hairstyles to post, but I thought I'd share a few pics from the day. But first, I wanted to show some of the bows I listed in my etsy store today. I just started it up, so it is pretty bare and boring right now;) But I promise to add more items and fix up my profile/store stuff soon! Okay, so first is a pair of my streamer clips... And next is a large black and orange satin baby/toddler headband. These would both be cute for Halloween!;)

Now, I did have plans to fix Alex's hair crazy and fun again, even some crimping. However, our Jeep broke down that morning and then she slept until I woke her up after all the guests had arrived. So, she just had a quick little side pull-through to keep the hair out of her face;)

Okay, so these aren't the best pictures, but I didn't really go through them all yet. This was after presents when all the girls were dressing up like rockstars.

And here is the pink guitar... a present from Grandma. Too cute!
