knotty ponytail

The little Princess wanted something easy and so did I because we had been cleaning my desk all moring, so this is what we came up with! we made 5 little ponys across the front of her head and then we used the Topsy tail to pull them through to make little knots

Then we started on the second row making our parts in between the other row (so they are offset) then splitting the tails from the other row hooking them into a pony, to "weave" the hair into the second row.

Then we pulled the back part into a pony

Now we took 1/2 of the tails and hooked them with elastic 1/2 way back to the pony.

Then we took all the tails and hooked them into the pony with a second elastic!

and you are done! (after adding a bow)

ribbon rainbow!

This is a huge shout out to sugar and spice and all hair nice! I loved this hairdo and we had to try it, I have to admit it though she has mad ribbon wrapping skills, don't look to close, because my skills are not quite as honed as hers!

Easy Pigtails, with only a tiny bit of fancy!

Here is baby Mermaid, she wanted a quick hairdo, "Mom just do something fast" day. I guess she had pressing matters of summer play outside. so we came up with regular old pigtails with a tiny bit of fancy! this would be great on a little girl with not quite as long of hair that has problems with wisps in the front! So I parted the hair down the middle and then in the front made a wide 45 degree angle in the front that goes to the middle of her left eye, combed and sprayed and made that section into a piggie, Then I made a second part, so I made the front section into a tiny piggie. Finally I made the second big piggie on the right side.

Here she is with the three pigtails the one in the front is a tiny one. this pic shows the part lines really well

Used my Topsy tail to pull the hair in the little triangle threw to make a little knot

Then I pulled it threw and hooked it into the Left hand pony with a second elastic

Add some bows (of course) and you are done!

Here it is from the top

Fancy Swim Hair

To Cool for Hair got invited to a swim party so she called in mom to help her look cute and keep her hair out of her eyes! so we started by parting her hair across behind her ears, and pulling the back part into low pigtailsThen we parted the front on the side and french braided the hair back to the very bottom of the hair. She had her hair cut around Christmas and had side bangs cut, we have to do something with the front or it will just fall out of pigs or ponys. This would be great if you kiddo is growing out bangs or to keep long bang out of their eyes!

Then I pulled the braids back and wrapped them around the piggie and pulled it threw with my Topsy tail, then repeated it on the other side!

Here it is from the back

Here it is from the front!

Thanks for letting your mom play with your hair you are "The Best"

braided headband into piggie buns

Here is little Mermaids hair for the wedding

we started by parting her hair from ear to ear,

Then we pulled the back part into high pigtails

Then we did a side part on the front of her head and braided back the side till it was long enough to hook into her pigtail with a second elastic

then we french braided the other side and hooked it into the other pigtail with an elastic, then we put the pigtails into little buns by wrapping the hair and bobby pining it here are better instructions! http://chic-clipshair.blogspot.com/2009/05/crown.html

added bows and you are done

From the top

and the back, you cant tell from the other pics that the bun only goes around 3/4 of the elastic, leaving the front flat so you have the perfect place to put a bow!

Corn rows into a bun

So, my Husbands cousin got married and we got to go to the wedding, So of course for me that means fancy hair... for the little princess we started with cornrows into a pony, http://chic-clipshair.blogspot.com/2009/06/corn-rows-into-pony-tail.html except, I put the pony on the side more. Next, I braided all the hair in the pony, there is only 4 dutch braids the rest are just regular braids
then I started taking all the braids and wrapping them into a bun. I have to plug a product again! I love Sally's hair supply bobby pins they have short ones that work great on little girls hair and you don't have big bobby pins sticking out every which way!

Here is me wrapping the hair around my finger,

More wrapping

then I take the wrap off my finger hold it close to her head and hook a bobby pin close to the scalp, taking a second bobby pin and putting it in from the other side and crossing it to make a X

add a flower and there you go!

braided pig tail french braids

alright this is Baby Mermaid with second day hair all I a can say is yuck!So I parted the hair in pigtails and then each pigtail in 3 so I have 6 sections. Next I put an elastic on every other one so that I can keep them separated. then I braided the front section starting at an angle, once again lots of hair spray and lots of detangler have been added!

I braided it back to the part and then took a couple of braids not hooked to anything (just about an inch of basic braid)

crossed the basic braid over the part and started french braiding down the opposite side, on the second section I took one piece of hair from each side and then I took it only from the side by the ear to keep it close to the part

Here is another pic of me crossing that first part, in this pic you can see those other sections that I have elasticed to keep out of the way!

now I take about an inch of basic braid and cross back over to the other side bottom section

now I french braid this the normal way just at an angle so I end at the same place as I started (just on the bottom) and then braided it to the end.

I continued down the head just like I did on the first side

and this is how it looks when you have both sides done!

add bows and...

from the front,

and the top, you have a fun, twist on a basic french braid
