9.5 months old and Q is walking with a purpose! Can't let those Leonard cousins have all the fun alone, ya know!

Even once her hair started getting longer, the natural wave in the "bangs" seemed to keep it out of her eyes. She had her own little "hairstyle" happening!

Flashback #4

This one really doesn't have anything to do with hair - and you don't normally crawl around on the floor while wearing a baby! - but I though the picture was cute :)  You can't beat a genuine baby smile!

We're using a made-by-me Mei Tai Carrier and Q's sporting supersoft Babylegs!

And this is probably Q's first bow in her hair! LOL  (at about 5 months old)

Gotta love Christmas! :)  and double chins :D

(As you can see, the curls popping up out of nowhere and the sudden need for hairstyles was unexpected! I certainly did not plan on starting a blog about it, that's for sure! I can't imagine life without it, now. I'm so addicted to learning about hair, curly and straight, products to use and avoid and creating cute new styles for Q to try out! Life can sure take us down paths we never expected.)

I love this picture! It's not a very good representation of any kind of baby carrier because of the angle you can't really see it in use (it's a Maya Wrap Sling - but made by a friend of mine, not the actual company) but I love it because it's taken from MY perspective! So this is what I saw when I was wearing her in the sling....

Who needs fancy baby hair when you have Baby Eyes!?! :D We used this carrier a lot - and then graduated to the Mei Tai's. I LOVE "babywearing!"

The Day Q was Born :)

Flashback #1

All red and alien-ish... What's not to LOVE?!

See the DARK hair?? :) awww! We thought she had so much!  LOL

Here you can see her hair better! and her "widow's peak."  Plus one Tired Mommy!  Q was born at home with a midwife, so we were lounging on our couch at this moment in time. :)

Un-Braided Hairdo

This one is after a 3 day stint in braids!
(posts coming with all the variations we did on that theme!)

We used the wavy undone braid hair and went with it! Instead of trying to start all over (no time for a bath this morning - this was our mother's day 'do! lol)

It's hard to see in that picture, but her braids had been in a headband type of design, so I left the parts where they wanted to go and bobby pinned the sides back on each side. Nice and loose so that the wavy hair kept it's wave. :)

Then when I had the bobby pins crossed in an X where I wanted them, I added a bow over the top to draw attention away from the bobby pins and more toward the accessory :)

And then ... I thought I'd just add a couple pics from our Mother's Day :) Just for fun!

Other Uses for Hair Elastics :D

LOL! I don't often let Q play with the hair stuff anymore, because now that we have more it's so time-consuming to put it away! But the other day we were out of town and busy and needing to look cute :) so we had just finished her hair - I went to help my hubby with his tie and when I turned around again, this is what I saw!.....

 (They were pretty tight, so they came off right away.)

I stretched them out for her and she continued to play with them for almost an hour! lol

Single Clip

Here's where we started today :)

I had a great new fun idea for today!!!... but Q didn't want to sit for it :( and it would have taken awhile...so we'll just have to do it another day!

Instead, we did this...

I just took up a section of hair in the front of her head (bangs area) twisted it all in a big loose bunch - and clipped it!

This is a great way to keep bangs that you're trying to grow out - out of the eyes when they're at that "awkward stage".

I thought it ended up really cute and it was soooo fast! (Worked really well to keep her hair out of her eyes all day and as a solution to already having spent time on her hair and having to start alllll over from the beginning - at that point you need something fast!)

Even taking pictures of it was hard today - staying still was apparently NOT on the agenda! :)
